Intermediate Level
For students who have completed at least six months up to two years of Advanced Beginner classes, and feel comfortable with all the material covered in that level. Dancers should be be able to dance fluidly with proper rhythm, posture and technique, and be prepared for the faster pace of the Intermediate level. Intermediate dancers may be invited to perform at various times throughout the year.
Advanced Level
Advanced-level dancers should have at least 4 years of recent flamenco dance training, and should dominate most aspects of flamenco technique, including strong footwork and compas, speed, coordination, and balance. These skills will continue to be developed throughout the course. Advanced dancers may be invited to perform at various times throughout the year.
Summer Intensive Technique Classes: 4-Week Session

Intensive Technique classes to strengthen your body and get you ready for new challenges! All classes are mixed-level (Intermediate/Advanced).
- Mondays 7:35-8:35 (August 18, 25, September 8): General Technique, including braceo, floreo, turns, marcajes and body placement; Control, balance, core strength, speed, and dancing with style and grace; Footwork speed and musicality; Rhythm; Endurance and fitness
- Wednesdays 7:35-8:35 (August 13, 20 & 27; Sept. 3): Footwork, rhythm and basic tablao skills (recognizing compas; playing palmas; dancing in compas and responding to music)
- Thursdays 7:35-8:35 (August 14, 21 & 28; Sept. 4): General Technique, including braceo, floreo, turns, marcajes and body placement; Control, balance, core strength, speed, and dancing with style and grace; Footwork speed and musicality; Rhythm; Endurance and fitness
Choose 1 class per week, 2 classes per week or unlimited classes! No classes on Monday, September 1 due to Labor Day.
Class pricing for Technique Session:
3 Monday classes: $48
1 class per week (Wed or Thurs, total of 4 classes): $65
Any 2 Technique classes (8 classes total): $118

Tablao Workshop: 4-Week Session
Tuesdays, 7:35-8:35
August 19 & 26; Sept. 2 & 9
Learn to put your flamenco skills to work in this special workshop series! Students will identify a performance goal and work toward achieving it using analysis of music, flamenco tradition, coaching with Olivia & Isai, and trial & error alongside your classmates. This class will involve homework! Contact your instructor for the registration link.

Castanets Classes
Intro-Castanets Mini-Class, 3 Mondays starting August 18, 7pm-7:30pm. This is a 30-minute class designed to introduce Intermediate-level students to the art of playing Castanets while dancing! The short class includes warm-up, exercises to improve dexterity, timing, and coordination, and short dance patterns like marcajes or llamadas with castanets. Advanced Castanets Mini-Class, 4 Tuesdays starting August 19, 7pm-7:30pm. This is a 30-minute class designed for Advanced-level students to continue practicing and perfecting their Castanet skills. The short class includes warm-up, exercises to improve dexterity, timing, and coordination, and potentially a short choreography.
