Advanced Beginner Flamenco
The Advanced Beginner class is designed as a transition between our Beginner level and our Intermediate level. Dancers should have taken multiple sessions of Beginner flamenco, and have knowledge and experience of all aspects of technique including braceo, floreo, marcajes and taconeo.
Technique and Choreography
Wednesdays 6:30-7:30pm starting October 15, 2025
Emphasis will be placed on improving coordination and rhythm, learning more complex taconeo, turns, marcaje, and braceo combinations, and adding style and grace to your dancing. This session we will focus on Alegrias to perform at our next Fiesta Flamenca on November 22!
Classes taught by Olivia Chacon in-studio OR online.

Introduction to Castanets
Sundays 12:35-1:30pm starting October 19, 2025
Learn to play castanets to accompany your dancing! Students should have completed at least one to two Beginner Flamenco dance courses and be able to do simple marcajes and taconeo. We will learn the basics of playing castanets, including practice exercises for dexterity and musicality, plus how to play while dancing! This session we will focus on perfecting our rolls and learning a short piece to perform at Fiesta Flamenca on Nov. 22!
